About the Winery, Production & Critical Reputation
Château-Grillet is one of France’s most historic and rare appellations—a monopole estate in the Northern Rhône producing exclusively Viognier from steep granite terraces overlooking the Rhône River. As a single-estate AOC, Château-Grillet stands apart even from neighboring Condrieu, crafting wines that are more structured, mineral, and long-lived. Fermented and aged in oak with careful precision, the wine balances aromatic richness with architectural structure.
