About the Winery, Production & Critical Reputation
Clarendelle is produced by the team associated with the historic Chateau Haut-Brion and was created by Prince Robert of Luxembourg as part of the Domaine Clarence Dillon family of wines. The name pays tribute to Clarence Dillon, who acquired Château Haut-Brion in 1935. Clarendelle Blanc follows the traditional white Bordeaux model, blending Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, with Muscadelle also used depending on the vintage. The varieties complement one another, with Sauvignon Blanc providing freshness and citrus character while Sémillon contributes body and texture. The wine is designed to offer an accessible expression of the precision and blending expertise associated with one of Bordeaux's most historic wine families.
